ABOUT FATMA

I am Fatma Al Tamimi from the beautiful city of Dubai. I am 24 years old, and the operation manager at Step Up International. After graduating from the UAE university, I was looking for a job, and through my journey I noticed that I lacked some of the major skills required by the market. In the past, nobody taught me those skills during my school or my university time, so it was my responsibility to invest time in my improvement and growth. That search led me to Emirates Youth Leadership program which was focusing on public speaking, leadership, management and many other life skills that I needed. I enrolled and attended the sessions and completed all the lessons. It was more of a practical training rather than information or just contents. I spent time to practice and got direct feedback from COACH KARDAN himself. I’ve learned many things through this program that created positive change in my life, however my favorite topics were building Rapport when introducing ourselves, engagement with the audience, and the importance of the positive state. By learning the tools and strategies, I became more comfortable speaking in public, I was offered a full-time job, and now I have more clarity about my goals. If I want to give one piece of advice to you as a new member, that would be to invest in yourself, and self-education. Commit to develop yourself because this is your life and your life is your own responsibility. Find your reasons to excel in your field of dreams, be committed, and present in all of your classes. I want to help the youth to have a better state in any situation and shift their psychology to a more positive mindset. In the end, always aim to be the best version of yourself. I hope to get a chance to meet you soon, be a guide for you, and help you shine.

Hind Algergawi

ABOUT HIND

I am Hind Algergawi, from Dubai and currently studying at Sorbonne university in Abu Dhabi. I have a great passion for public speaking and have attended several major events and exhibitions, and had the privilege to be selected and trained at the public diplomacy office of H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. I am grateful for the person I am today and the opportunities given to me as a 20 year old Emirati with lots of ambitions and dreams. I am constantly trying to search and get into skills that will help me in my life and that’s how I found the Emirates Youth Leadership Program. Some of the lessons and the strategies I learned during this program truly changed my life. It increased my level of self-confidence since I am often in a position to stand in front of a group of people to present something. Now I know how to use the special tools and techniques that make me comfortable in front of people and help me to build rapport with them and get my message across in a more effective way. I learned how one “word” or “sentence” could really shift people’s minds and encourage them to take immediate action. I learned how to manage my feelings & state as a speaker and how to handle any situation when I am in front of an audience. This program will teach you how to create meaningful conversations with people during your speaking engagements, and people to change their behavior. You’ll study about human psychology for leaders and how to have a clear understanding of why people do what they do. COACH KARDAN’s depth of knowledge and life experience combined with his love, caring, and integrity, will give you something beyond your expectations. He will coach you on the spot after each of your presentations and help you grow very quickly. You will learn how to ask empowering questions to your audience, and how to differentiate between lucky & unlucky people. You will be reminded about your responsibilities in life specially if you want to become a leader. I want to encourage you to join the Emirates Youth Leadership program and become a more skillful version of yourself. I will be here to support you and am excited to meet you soon.

ABOUT HUMAID

I am Humaid Alzaabi, 24 years old from Abu Dhabi. I am the CEO of Housecall which is a start-up company based in Abu Dhabi. I attended Emirates Youth Leadership program because I wanted to match my vision with my leadership skills, so I could inspire others for positive change. Emirates Youth Leadership program gave me the confidence and the certainty I needed in my presentations. I am really happy that COACH KARDAN kept approaching me and didn’t give up on me until I enrolled in the program. I want to do the same for you and help you achieve your dreams and goals. About Salama

I am Salama Altamimi, 26 years old, from the city of wonders, Dubai. I am an engineer at FabLab, UAE affiliated Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. I joined Emirates Youth Leadership program because I wanted to find my road to success by clarifying my vision and improving my leadership skills. I know that my country is in need of young leaders and I have to prepare myself to be one of them. I want to make my country proud. Emirates Youth Leadership program gave me the confidence to express myself professionally. I’m glad that my sister encouraged me to enroll in the program. Now it is my turn to help you achieve your goals with my support, love and passion. This is what I am good at, and I want to see you reaching your dreams. Nouf Omar

About Nouf

I am Nouf Omar, 24 years old from Dubai. I am an airline pilot flying for the most prestigious airlines in the world; Emirates Airline. I fly the Boeing 777 airplane and I love it. I have been flying to over 60 destinations around the world so far and very proud to carry the UAE flag on my plane. After graduation from school and becoming a pitot at the age of 20, I was invited to my school “Al Mawakeb” to speak and inspire the graduated students so they can plan for their future. The main reason I joined Emirates Youth Leadership program was that I needed training to become a better speaker publicly. Of course, I had a story to tell and I am a pilot and considered successful already, but I did not really have a structure in my speech and presentation. When I attended one of COACH KARDAN’s training sessions about leadership and speaking skills for leaders, he told me that later I need to share my story with the world and write a book. Even though I didn’t have much of writing skill as an author, but he insisted in that vision I thank him for not giving up on me. Now I have already completed sections of my book and I am excited to see it in the hands of many people inspired by my story. After working and learning public speaking skills I got invited to different universities and had the opportunity to speak in bigger events to young students to inspire them and without those tools and techniques that I have learned, I would say that I would not have achieved those goals that fast. These leadership skills have really benefited me in so many ways I could say by giving me confidence of course becoming a professional speaker is something initial not only for speaking for university student but also in my work when I speak to cabin crew, when I speak to other captains during flights and when there is a big age gap. As a cabin crew it made it easier for me to communicate with my team because there is a lot of different personalities with people from different nationalities and just learning that communication skills specially in the work place itself is really important. I really thank COACH KARDAN for teaching me all those powerful skills.

As an alumni speaker, I can tell you from personal experience that if you join this program, you will get out of your comfort zone and I’ll make sure you get out of it too. You will learn leadership skills, speaking skills, and coaching skills that will boost your level of confidence just like it boosted mine. As a young Emirati, we need to be leaders with outstanding communication skills because our government investing in us to lead the future of the UAE. This program is the perfect opportunity to seriously enhance the skills you need to be a better leader for the future of our country.

Saeed Rais

ABOUT SAEED

My name is Saeed Rais. I'm 27 years old from the beautiful city of Dubai. I am an airline pilot at Fly Emirates, one of the best airlines in the world, and I've been flying with Fly Emirates for almost 6 years. I love flying and traveling. I always strive to gain leadership skills because I want to be a leader that leads with love and passion. I'm aiming to share my love with as many people as I can and make them feel loved and appreciated. Maybe it is a different way of leadership, different than the usual. I always wanted to be different and unique, so I decided to join Emirates Youth Leadership by a recommendation from one of my dear friends who benefited from this training program. When I started this journey, I remember the first time I did my first presentation at work as a cabin crew for our crew members before each flight. I wasn't confident, and I couldn't stand in front of others and lead the team to inspire them with my certainty for having a smooth and safe flight. As Emiratis, we have been taught by our upper leadership, so it is our responsibility to develop our skills and to become great leaders in the world since our country is one of the best in the world. After joining EYL program, I went through different exercises, and I practiced many times to improve my speaking skills. What I got as a major outcome was phenomenal. I could say easily for me, I'm more than 100% satisfied with the program and its contents. 
 
If you want to be a better leader as a person in general or aiming to have an outstanding communication skills and plan to design an extraordinary life, I highly recommend you to join this program because it is a great opportunity for you to grow beyond your expectations. About Sarah

My name is Sara Alakberi and I am 24 years old. I am an adventurous, passionate, and creative young Emirati dentist that always thrive for the best and is eager to learn something new every day. My values are: Freedom, Courage, Humor, Peace, and Adventure. Some of my beliefs are: I truly believe that we are all somehow amazing in something and when we find our passion in life, miracles will happen not only for us but for those we love and care about. The world will become a better place when people live with passion. I also believe that the way we think about things in our minds can change everything for us. Everything we see starts from our minds and beliefs. Finally I believe that we were created to take risks and experience new things in life. No risks, no rewards. My life mission: Why am I here is a question that I have always asked myself. What am I here doing in this universe? I have always believed that God has created all of us for a reason and fulfill a certain purpose in our lives, but I was not sure what was mine. I have always believed that the answer is within me. The answer is within all of us. Nobody knows you better that you do, but maybe you must listen a little bit closer to yourself. I have always believed in the power of giving and I loved to help people specially those who are in pain and since dental pain is considered one of the top 10 pains that anyone could experience, I decided that I want to become a special dentist, and this became my life mission. So, my journey started in 2014 as I got accepted in the college of dental medicine in university of Sharjah. I studied there for 6 years and I graduated in 2020 with distinction. Every patient that I see has a story and I have learned that it is crucial to build rapport with patients and to understand their needs and treat them as human beings not only cases. I feel most alive when I am doing my job. The amount of thank you and prayers and smiles that I get after each appointment is enough to make me grateful for being a dentist and it gives joy that the patient who came to the clinic with a frown and pain is now leaving happy, relieved, and more confident with their smile. I hope to get a chance to serve you and inspire you so that you can excel and achieve your dreams too.
